RECAS’s objective is to coordinate action against Small Arms and Light Weapons proliferation in the Great Lakes region and horn of Africa. It does so by providing training on weapons and ammunition management, destroying firearms, and helping to promote better cooperation between neighboring countries dealing with weapons and ammunition trafficking.
