Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA)

The Regional Centre on Small Arms and Light Weapons (RECSA) is an inter-governmental organisation with a mandate of coordinating the implementation of the Nairobi Protocol on the prevention, control and reduction of small arms and light weapons in the Great Lakes Region, the Horn of Africa and Bordering States. It does so by providing training on weapons and ammunition management, destroying firearms, and helping to promote better cooperation between neighboring countries dealing with weapons and ammunition trafficking.
